Advanced Nurse Practitioner for GP Surgery in Ormskirk. £38.50 - £62 per hour (including holiday pay).
A GP surgery in Ormskirk is looking for an ANP to assist with the provision of Minor Illness clinics at extended access times. This service is even more vital now, than ever, as it reduces pressure on hospitals by avoiding unnecessary admissions and ensures patients with minor conditions can receive care despite current challenges.
This service runs weekday evenings from 18:30 onwards (right through to 8am the next day) and 24hrs a day on weekends. Within these opening times, the exact start/finish times of your shifts are flexible, and you can choose.
Requirements of the role:
You will be required need to see patients for a full range of Minor Ailments and all ages, from babies through to the elderly.
Telephone triage is in place (as additional covid-19 precaution), so experience undertaking this is desirable.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation, there are extra safety measures in place in the interest of your safety at work. All patients are screened first and shouldn't come to site if they have any COVID-19 symptoms. However, we are providing the required PPE for all employees and taking the preventative measures where possible.
Essential qualifications and experience:
- Independent Prescribing
- Minor Illness qualification (i.e. MSc in Advanced Practice preferred, or Minor Illness diploma's will also be considered)
- Experience seeing, assessing, diagnosing, treating and referring for Minor Illness.
- Experience seeing all ages (from newborns through to elderly)
