We are seeking a Payroll Assistant to join our client's finance team based in Warrington. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a growing business leading in their sector.Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in processing weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and on time
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity
  • Calculate wages, deductions, and statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, and pensions
  • Respond to payroll-related queries from staff and management
  • Assist with year-end processes including P60s and P11Ds
  • Support finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks as required
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a payroll or finance administration role
  • Good understanding of payroll legislation and best practices
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Sage50 Payroll software is advantageous
