Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer with a global presence. They are recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Co-ordinator / CI Coordinator to join their team.

Hours of work: 8.00am - 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Salary £45k-£53k depending on experience.

The main purpose of this senior management role is to drive the Continuous Improvement culture and activities across their operation, enhancing operational performance by deploying a Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

The CI Co-ordinator leads the development of local CI capability, delivering results and performance measures through people and data driven metrics and activities.

Playing a major role in deploying of various lean tools and techniques, this role will embed culture and mindset of operational excellence across the manufacturing site. Other aspects of the role include:

• Developing the CI strategy for the Chippenham Site in conjunction with the Site Manager and deploy improvement plans.
• Facilitate Project Selection Workshops, owning and administering the CI project pipeline.
• Undertake DMAIC projects to address significant, complex issues.
• Train employees in CI tools and techniques.
• Coaching and mentoring the local team to carry out improvement projects and events.
• Manage and coordinate the monthly reporting of the impact from the CI Projects activity.

Requirements:

• You will hold a relevant CI qualification, or preferably be a Six Sigma Black Belt
• Track record of achievement in continuous improvement in a similar CI role (e.g. CI Coordinator / CI Manager).
• The ideal candidate will hold LSS Black Belt certification (or equivalent) with a proven experience of delivering DMAIC projects within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong data manipulation experience through Microsoft packages will be advantageous.
• Experience in CI and lean manufacturing techniques and application in a large scale, high volume manufacturing/ distribution operation.
• Knowledge and application of statistical problem solving tools and DMAIC projects.
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentational communication skills.
• Excellent time and project management skills.
• Effective organisational skills.
• Ability to communicate with personnel at all levels
