Are you passionate about making maths meaningful and fun? Prospero Teaching are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Maths Tutor to support two young learners (in individuals 1:1 sessions) in Weymouth for a total of 5 hours per week, with flexibility to work across one or two days.

✨ About the Students:

👦 Student 1

Age: 15
Focus: Functional Skills Maths
Schedule: 2 hours/week (Monday or Tuesday)
Personality: Football fan with a great sense of humour
Additional Info: Has an ASD diagnosis and thrives with a patient, engaging approach👤 Student 2

Focus: General Maths tuition
Schedule: 3 hours/week (flexible, except Monday mornings)
Age: To be confirmed

🚗 Travel & Venue:

Tutor must be able to pick up students from their homes and drive them to the tuition venue
Tuition venue is flexible - we're happy to work with your preferencesAs a Tutor you will:

Deliver tailored Maths and Maths Functional Skills sessions
Transport the young person to and from sessions
Be an active listener
Show resilience, empathy and positivity
Be adaptable and plan engaging sessions for the learnersAbout you:

Experience working with young people, ideally with SEND awareness
A warm, adaptable teaching style
A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
Confident in teaching and planning Maths
Driver, who is happy to transport learnersPosition - Maths and Functional Skills Tutor
Contract or position start date - ASAP

Full time/part-time -5 Hours per week
Hours - Flexible timings

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools-
Confident in delivering Maths Functional Skills and Maths tuition
Driver, who is happy to transport learnersTo be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

Hold right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide references upon request
Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
