Level 3 Nursery Practitioner – Full Time
Hours: 8:00am–6:00pmWorking Pattern: 4 days per week (one set day off each week)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our early years team. You will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education for children aged 0–5, supporting their development in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Observe, assess, and record children’s development, ensuring individual learning needs are met.
- Build positive and supportive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised learning environment at all times.
- Work collaboratively as part of the team to support daily routines, including mealtimes, nappies, and personal care.
- Create an inclusive environment that encourages children’s independence, curiosity, and confidence.
- Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies are adhered to consistently.
- Contribute to the planning of the environment, activities, and events/excursions.
- Support the emotional wellbeing of children, offering comfort and guidance as needed.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development.
Requirements
- Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of the EYFS and child development.
- Previous experience working in an early-years setting.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive, proactive, and caring approach to working with children.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
