Mathematics Teacher - Permanent Opportunity
Location: Portsmouth
Start Date: May 2025 or September 2025
Contract: Long-Term with a View to Permanent
Pay: £150 - £230 per day (dependent on experience)
Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join a thriving Secondary Academy School in Portsmouth. The school is seeking to appoint an inspiring Maths specialist to start either in May 2025 or at the beginning of the new academic year in September. The role is initially offered on a long-term basis, with a strong intention to offer a permanent contract following a successful placement.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, helping students to build strong numerical skills, critical thinking abilities, and a genuine enthusiasm for the subject.

Be an enthusiastic and committed Mathematics Teacher

Have a track record of raising student achievement and engagement

Demonstrate strong classroom management skills

Be adaptable, resilient, and proactive in different teaching environments

Deliver dynamic and challenging Maths lessons tailored to meet diverse learner needs

Hold a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
