My client based in Cardiff is looking for a sharp, detail-driven Financial Accountant to partner with our Financial Controller and play a key role in delivering accurate, insight-led reporting across the business.

What You’ll Own as a Financial Accountant

• Monthly management accounts & group reporting (5–6 day close)
• Revenue tracking & forecasting by customer
• Balance sheet & control account reconciliations
• Prepayments, accruals, fixed assets & depreciation reviews
• Intercompany reconciliations
• VAT & CIS submissions
• Audit preparation & statutory compliance
• Sales commission reviews
• Cash, credit card & outsourced expense system management
• Creditor ledger oversight & query resolution
• Contract, cost & profitability analysis
• Supporting operational leaders with financial insight

What We’re Looking For in a Financial Accountant

• Strong management accounts experience with tight deadlines
• Meticulous reconciliations & balance sheet control
• Audit & statutory reporting exposure
• Qualified or PQ in a relevant certification
• Confident communicator – able to challenge and influence department heads
• Commercially aware with strong analytical skills
• High integrity – this role handles sensitive financial information
