Anderson Knight is proud to be working with a prestigious professional services organisation to recruit a Legal Compliance Administrator for their finance team in Edinburgh. In this vital support role, you will be part of a specialist team responsible for the effective onboarding of new clients and matters. You will ensure that risk controls, data quality, and compliance standards are met, contributing to the smooth operation of the firm's finance and administrative processes.

The role is best suited to someone with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work with pace and accuracy in a fast-moving environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Review and process new client/matter data, ensuring accuracy and consistency within the practice management system.

* Perform data cleansing and monitoring to maintain high-quality records.

* Conduct and document conflict checks, escalating any potential issues to ensure regulatory compliance.

* Support legal and finance teams with onboarding queries and conflict assessments outside of the standard process.

* Monitor ongoing client financial and risk status, updating stakeholders where necessary.

* Ensure timely dispatch and tracking of engagement letters.

* Assist with general compliance, audit preparation, and ad-hoc administrative tasks.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Experience in a data- or compliance-focused administrative role (ideally within professional or financial services).

* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy under pressure.

* Strong communication skills—verbal and written.

* Ability to manage multiple deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities.

* A team-focused and proactive approach to problem-solving.

* Solid IT literacy; experience with legal or finance systems is desirable.
