We are seeking a dedicated Alternative Provision Tutor to work 1:1 with a Year 7 student (soon to be Year 8) who is currently working at a Key Stage 2 level in English and Maths. This is a unique opportunity to build a meaningful relationship and help shape a brighter future for a young learner. This position is for 10-15 hours per week.

About the Learner:

At risk of permanent exclusion (PEX)
Presents with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs
Can become emotionally dysregulated
Has interests in music, beat boxing, dance, and fashion
Needs a trusting, consistent relationship with a supportive adultAbout you:

Minimum 1 year of experience in UK schools as a TA, SEN TA, Cover Supervisor, Teacher, SENCO, or similar
Experience supporting learners with SEMH needs
Skilled in de-escalation and emotional regulation strategies

Experience working with young people with additional needs or those at risk of exclusion
Strong interpersonal skills and a nurturing, empathetic approach
Ability to deliver or support learning in KS2-level Maths and English
Creative and adaptable, with a passion for engaging young people through their interests
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection proceduresPosition - Tutor

Hours - 10-15 Hours per week- for the right candidate, this can be increased to full time with additional tuition opportunities

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools- ESSENTIAL

Trauma-informed and skilled in de-escalation and emotional regulation strategies- Desirable

Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
