Location: Near Southend Airport (SS2)

Salary: Up to £35,000 + 1.5x Overtime

Shift: Monday-Thursday (06:45-16:30) - Enjoy a 3-day weekend!

Are you a Grinding specialist who lives for tight tolerances and high-spec finishes?

We are partnering with a leading precision aerospace manufacturer that doesn't just "machine parts"—they engineer excellence. We are looking for a Precision Centerless Grinder who understands that in aerospace, there is no room for "near enough." This is a role for a craftsman who takes pride in extreme accuracy and attention to detail.

The Role: High-Precision Centerless Grinding

This isn't rough manual grinding. You will be responsible for setting and operating high-end centerless grinding machines to achieve micro-level tolerances.

Expert Setting: Full setup and operation of Centerless Grinders (experience with Wickman, Ghiringhelli, Cincinnati, or Tschudin is highly desirable).

Tight Tolerances: Consistently working to demanding aerospace standards where precision is the absolute priority.

Total Quality Control: Reading complex technical drawings and conducting your own first-off inspections.

*

Precision Measurement: Expert use of micrometers and gauges—you know exactly what "good" looks like.

Efficiency: Maintaining high output and reducing scrap through meticulous machine management.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Proven Expertise: Significant experience in Centerless Grinding is non-negotiable.

The Right Mindset: You understand that this is high-spec precision work, not "rough and ready" machining.

*

Sector Experience: A background in Aerospace, Medical, or Defense (high-precision environments) is preferred.

*

Independence: You are confident working to drawings without constant supervision.

*

Technical Literacy: Ability to interpret intricate engineering blueprints with ease.

The Package & Perks

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (DOE).

Work-Life Balance: A structured 37-hour week compressed into 4 days (Monday to Thursday).
