SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Chester
Full-time - Long-term
Daily rate: £95 - £110
Welcoming schools in Chester are looking for experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. The school supports students aged 11-18 with autism and other learning needs, and they're keen to find someone who can make a real difference in the lives of their pupils.
This is an excellent opportunity if you have experience in SEN, especially from youth work, residential care, or similar settings. You'll play a key role in helping students feel supported, understood, and empowered to succeed.
Your role will include:
- Supporting students with a range of special educational needs in and out of the classroom
- Building strong, positive relationships to support learning and wellbeing
- Helping students regulate behaviour and develop social skills
- Working closely with teachers to deliver tailored interventions and support EHCP targets
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting young people with autism or other additional needs
- Brings confidence, patience, and a proactive attitude to the role
- Can stay calm under pressure and works well as part of a team
- Is committed to helping all students access the curriculum and thrive
