About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Careers Advisor to support EHCP learners on an ad-hoc basis. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about guiding young people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), towards achieving their education, training, and employment goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred careers advice and guidance to SEND learners.
- Provide expert input into Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Work collaboratively with education providers, support staff, and external agencies.
- Conduct assessments, produce reports, and offer recommendations tailored to individual learner needs.
- Support transitions into further education, training, apprenticeships, or employment.
Essential Requirements
- Level 6 Careers Information, Advice & Guidance qualification (or equivalent).
- Proven experience working with SEND learners in an educational or advisory capacity.
- Strong understanding of EHCP processes, documentation, and statutory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly on an ad-hoc basis.
