Proportionate Care Project Occupational Therapist - Slough Borough Council - £38 per hour
Slough Borough Council is currently recruiting a motivated Occupational Therapist to join their dynamic Proportionate Care Project. This is a hands-on role ideal for an OT passionate about maximising independence through smart, proportionate support. The role offers a full-time contract, manageable caseload, and flexible working options.
This vacancy will be for an initial 3-6 months, with a strong chance of extension.
Main Duties for the Occupational Therapist include:
Carrying out specialist moving and handling risk assessments
Trialling and recommending appropriate equipment to reduce care needs
Supporting service users with proportionate care plans to promote independence
Working within a supportive project team alongside senior clinicians
Safeguarding vulnerable adults and ensuring dignity and respect throughout practiceTo Be Successful:
Experience as a community-based Occupational Therapist
Confident in manual handling techniques and equipment provision
Understanding of proportionate care principles
HCPC Registration
Enhanced DBS (can be arranged by us)
Eligibility to work in the UK
