Engineering @365 is partnering with a specialist engineering manufacturer that produces high-spec bespoke cooling and air-treatment systems for the aerospace, defence, and automotive industries. Due to ongoing growth, we are recruiting Mechanical Fitters to join the production team and support the assembly and testing of advanced machinery.

Job Description:

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and fitting refrigeration and mechanical systems to exacting standards. You will work on bespoke cooling units, performing both mechanical and refrigeration tasks while ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assemble and fit mechanical components on bespoke cooling and air-treatment systems.

* Carry out copper pipework bending, brazing, and soldering.

* Conduct pressure testing and refrigerant charging of completed systems.

* Wire electrical control panels (training available if required).

* Inspect and test finished systems to ensure compliance with quality standards.

* Work accurately from engineering drawings and build instructions.

* Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production team.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a refrigeration fitter or in a similar engineering assembly role.

* Competent in copper pipework, brazing, and soldering.

* Strong mechanical fitting skills; electrical fitting experience is advantageous.

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

* Quality-conscious with strong self-inspection and attention to detail.

* F-Gas certification preferred (training can be provided if required).

* Reliable, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
