ITS Building People is recruiting on behalf of a reputable contractor specialising in commercial refurbishment projects within the education sector. We are seeking a hands-on Working Foreman with a strong carpentry background to oversee and actively participate in high-quality refurbishment works across schools in the Woking area.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake hands-on carpentry and general refurbishment tasks
* Supervise and coordinate site teams to ensure timely delivery of projects
* Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations within school environments
* Liaise with school representatives, site managers, and subcontractors
* Carry out quality control checks to maintain high standards of workmanship
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within carpentry and refurbishment
* Strong background in internal and external refurbishment, particularly within schools
* Ability to lead by example and work alongside the team
* Valid CSCS card and SSSTS certification (essential)
* Enhanced DBS check (desirable due to working in schools)
