Salary: £28,080 - £29,120 per annum

Role Purpose

To provide high-quality care and early education for children aged 0–5 years in line with the EYFS framework and Little Elms’ Four Pillars curriculum.

The Level 3 Educator will ensure children are safe, stimulated, and supported to thrive emotionally, socially, and developmentally within a warm, professional environment.

  • Essential Requirements
    • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (as recognised by the DfE).
    • Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework.
    • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
    • Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Right to work in the UK.
    • Enhanced DBS check.

Key ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities1. Quality of Care & Safeguarding
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times.
  • Follow safeguarding policies and procedures in line with statutory guidance.
  • Maintain accurate accident, incident, and welfare records.
  • Promote positive behaviour using consistent and respectful strategies.
  • Adhere to hygiene, health and safety, and mealtime standards.
2. Teaching & Learning
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with EYFS.
  • Implement Little Elms’ Four Pillars:
    • Little Athletes – physical development and outdoor learning
    • Little Artists – creativity and expressive arts
    • Little Innovators – STEM and curiosity-led learning
    • Little Well-Beings – emotional literacy and wellbeing
  • Observe, assess and track children’s development.
  • Contribute to planning meetings and reflective practice.
  • Support children with SEND, following IEPs and external professional guidance.
Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseDesirable
  • Experience working in a busy nursery setting.Knowledge of SEND and inclusive practice.Experience supporting quality improvement or room leadership.
