We are looking to recruit a Senior Practitioner, Adults Safeguarding Team within the Social Care Industry. Our client has a well-structured and organised team that are looking to grow their staffing levels. The role offers flexible working hours for working parents and has a supportive team culture with regular supervision on cases. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and supportive team within Darlington Council.
Main duties include:
- Making use of a range of social work methods such as casework or crisis
intervention, also to develop and demonstrate the highest degree of skills in such
- Undertaking professional supervision of students, unqualified, or newly qualified
staff, if required.
- Case Load Management
- managing and co-ordinating safeguarding adult concerns
- carrying out initial enquiries
- moving cases where appropriate onto safeguarding strategy meetings and chairing these meetings
- Carrying informal safeguarding investigations
- Providing advice and guidance to members of the public as well as other professionals
To be successful:
For this Senior Practitioner, Adults Safeguarding Team you will need to be a Qualified Social Worker with a HCPC Registration and educated to Degree Level. You will also need to have the Eligibility to Work in the UK with previous experience working within an Adults' Mental Health Team. A good understanding of Safeguarding Adults, the Mental Capacity Act and Making Safeguarding Personal is essential.
