We are seeking a dedicated Business Studies and Economics Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality classroom teaching and ensuring all pupils reach their potential through effective monitoring, assessment, and target setting. The successful candidate will primarily teach BTEC Business Studies and A-Level Economics.
Day-to-day of the role: - Deliver engaging and effective lessons in BTEC Business Studies and A-Level Economics, ensuring high levels of student motivation and achievement.
- Use school-provided attainment data to monitor pupil progress, set achievement targets, and organise necessary interventions.
- Develop and update curriculum schemes of work, preparing the department for both internal and external inspections.
- Create a stimulating learning environment that accommodates pupils' aptitudes, needs, and prior attainments.
- Conduct regular and thorough assessments, maintaining detailed records of pupil progress.
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing opportunities for them to engage in their child’s learning and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues and the local community to enhance the educational experience and uphold the school's reputation.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).or QTLS with experience
- Graduate with a good honours degree.
- Outstanding teaching skills with a proven track record of delivering excellent outcomes in GCSE and A-Level examinations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written, oral, and presentation abilities.
- Well-organised, creative, and innovative approach to teaching.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current curriculum developments and best practices in teaching and learning in Business and Economics.
