Overview

We're partnering with a leading engineering business at the forefront of precision metal fabrication. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate engineer with prior employment experience in a manufacturing environment, who is ready to apply and develop their skills in structural design and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Support the design and development of lightweight aluminium fabrications.

Assist with Linear and Non-Linear Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

Use ANSYS to run simulations, validate models, and provide insights to design/manufacturing teams.

Work to Eurocode standards in analysis and documentation.

Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to ensure manufacturability and integrity of designs.

Contribute to process improvements in analysis and validation.

Key Requirements

Degree in Mechanical, Structural or Aerospace Engineering (or related).

Employment experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Exposure to FEA (Linear and Non-Linear), ideally with ANSYS.

Understanding of Eurocode standards.

Strong interest in metal fabrication, particularly aluminium.

Desirable Experience

Knowledge of weld design, fastening methods, or fatigue analysis.

Familiarity with buckling or large deformation simulations.

Experience in defence, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing environments.
