Diamond Search Recruitment is partnering with a fast-growing UK distributor to appoint an experienced Supply Chain Manager into a pivotal leadership role.

This position offers genuine ownership of the end-to-end supply chain function, with responsibility for shaping planning strategy, strengthening global supplier partnerships, and driving operational performance across a scaling business.

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will play a key role in developing robust, future-ready Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes that support sustained growth.

Supply Chain Leadership

• Own and evolve the end-to-end supply chain strategy
• Lead monthly S&OP planning and executive reporting
• Align demand, supply, and commercial objectives across departments

Planning & Inventory Optimisation

• Deliver accurate SKU-level demand forecasting
• Translate forecasts into effective purchasing strategies
• Optimise stock levels, service performance, and working capital
• Reduce excess and obsolete inventory

Global Sourcing & Logistics

• Manage international supplier relationships
• Negotiate lead times, MOQs, and supply flexibility
• Oversee inbound logistics, freight partners, and import processes
• Monitor supplier KPIs including OTIF and quality performance

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three supply chain professionals
• Introduce scalable processes aligned to business growth
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence

You are a commercially minded Supply Chain professional who combines strong analytical planning capability with confident stakeholder leadership.

You will likely bring experience from:

• Distribution, construction supply, building materials, M&E, or industrial sectors
• Demand planning and supply planning ownership
• International sourcing and import management
• ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel analysis
• Cross-functional collaboration within growing organisations

• CIPS, APICS, or equivalent supply chain qualification
• Experience implementing or enhancing S&OP frameworks
• Background within fast-growth or transformation environments

• Genuine ownership and strategic influence
• Growing UK business with international supply base
