Credit Controller Responsibilities

* Manage a high volume of accounts and oversee associated debts

* Proactively contact customers via phone and email to collect outstanding payments

* Maintain regular communication to recover owed monies successfully

* Handle incoming queries and provide timely, effective resolutions

* Conduct credit checks on new customers and set appropriate credit limits

* Assist with ad-hoc finance tasks, including cashbook cover

* Identify and escalate potential risk accounts to senior team members

Credit Controller Skills and Experience:

* Proven experience in a dedicated Credit Controller role

* Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of credit control duties

* Confident in chasing payments while maintaining a polite and professional manner

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially over the phone

* Highly organised, with the ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload

* Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
