A leading manufacturing business based in Pontefract is on the lookout for a Shift Maintenance Engineer to join their growing engineering team. With major investment recently injected into the site for equipment upgrades and factory improvements, there's never been a better time to join this forward-thinking business.

As a Shift Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of production machinery and equipment, focusing on minimising downtime and keeping the site running smoothly. You'll work on a 5-crew shift pattern and will need to be proactive, reliable, and mechanically skilled.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment

* Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out effective repairs

* Supporting continuous improvement and equipment upgrades

* Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures

Requirements:

* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Engineering (or equivalent)

* Strong mechanical bias with experience in a manufacturing environment

* Good understanding of health and safety standards

* Previous experience as a Shift Maintenance Engineer or similar role
