Barnet is building it's Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) capacity and capabilities. An enablement Service that unites multidisciplinary expertise to drive digital transformation data‑ informed decision‑making and technology innovation. The service will manage the end‑to‑end lifecycle of digital products, data infrastructure and solutions, delivering measurable value for residents, colleagues and partners. What the new service will help deliver
- Resident-Focused Products and Services - Design, build and deploy user-centred DDaT products across the organisation to deliver high quality responses and outcomes for the people of Barnet.
- Content Management - Own and evolve user-centred content (e.g., our knowledge bases) aligned to emerging AI strategies; deliver accessible, accurate and inclusive content.
- Data & Insight Excellence - Build and optimise data infrastructure; deliver high‑quality analysis, data science and GIS insights across the council.
- Cyber Security & Compliance - Protect information assets and ensure compliance with public‑sector standards.
- Strategic Programme & Project Delivery - Oversee the digital, data and technology pipeline; plan, execute and close complex programmes including technical transitions and IoT initiatives.
- Business & Technology Integration - Bridge business needs and technology, remove delivery obstacles and ensure every initiative creates tangible value.
- Technology Architecture & Solution Development - Provide strategic architecture leadership; design and maintain solutions across Microsoft 365, AI and RPA to boost productivity.
- Capability Building & Training - Design and deliver learning that builds DDaT confidence and skills across the council.

Who should express interest?
We welcome EOIs from professionals across Digital, Dat and Technology, including but not limited to: programme and delivery management, business analysis, product/content design, solution architecture, AI/RPA and Microsoft 365 development, technical transition, data engineering, data science (including GIS) cyber security and DDaT- specific learning and development.
