Are you an enthusiastic and energetic Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking to combine classroom excellence with creative outdoor learning? A vibrant and forward-thinking primary school in Lewisham is on the lookout for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team from 1st September 2025. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with responsibility across KS1 and KS2, including leading the school's OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) initiative.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across various year groups and lead stimulating, structured play sessions as part of the school's commitment to active, holistic learning. You will also be responsible for planning and delivering small group interventions, assisting with classroom activities, and collaborating with class teachers to raise outcomes for all pupils.

The school's Headteacher is looking for a dynamic and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant who shares their vision for curiosity, creativity, and inclusive learning through play. You'll be well supported by a strong senior leadership team and given room to grow in your role as OPAL Lead.

To be considered for this Higher Level Teaching Assistant position, you should have:

HLTA status or equivalent experience

A passion for outdoor education and structured play

Strong experience supporting learning in KS1 and/or KS2

Great communication and teamwork skills
