Robert Half Technology are assisting a market leading organisation to recruit a Front-End React Developer (Contract) Remote working (UK-based).

• The Front-End Developer will take ownership of core UI areas and accelerate delivery of key product features.

• Work closely with design, backend, and AI teams to create AI-driven functionality, including natural-language search, agentic workflows, and context-aware UI components.

• Deliver high-quality, performant interfaces using React and Next.js.

• Build user interfaces for LLM-powered search, AI agents, and advanced data analytics tools.

• Design clean, intuitive UX for interacting with AI reasoning, results, and suggestions.

• Integrate front-end components with internal APIs, vector search layers, and agent orchestration systems.

• Execute rapid iterations on scoped projects, new features, and experimental AI-driven interactions.

• Conduct performance optimisation, accessibility improvements, and UI refinement.

• 3+ years of commercial front-end development experience, including contract roles.

• Strong proficiency with React, Next.js, and JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Skilled in creating component libraries, reusable UI patterns, and scalable front-end architecture.

• Experienced in integrating complex APIs and handling asynchronous behaviour.

• Able to work autonomously, manage delivery effectively, and produce high-quality output quickly.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have:

• A portfolio showcasing delivered React projects.

• Experience building chat-style interfaces or AI assistant UIs.

• Familiarity with data visualisation or dashboard components.

• Basic backend understanding to help shape API contracts.
