Assessor Early Years - Temporary - 18 hours pw - Broxbourne - £23.99 per hour

We are recruiting for a temporary Assessor of Early Years to work at Hertford Regional College as part of the Apprenticeships Team, based at the Broxbourne Campus with some travel offsite. The Assessor of Early Years will help deliver an outstanding learner experience and be inspirational to students at HRC's state of art facilities in Broxbourne.

About The Role

The Early Years Assessor will report into the Head of Apprenticeships and will support the successful enrolment, delivery, training, and achievements, via the application of effective teaching, learning and assessment practices for all apprentices within their given caseload. They will ensure all apprentices achieve timely and overall outcomes on Apprenticeship standards within Early Years.

The role will be mainly based at HRC's Broxbourne Campus but also includes teaching online and assessing at Employers' place of work in and around Hertfordshire and North London.

Typically, the Early Years Assessor role encompasses 18 hours of work over 2.5 days per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursday although there is some flexibility on working pattern.

This role is all-year-round and ideally, we would like to appoint someone to start in ASAP. The successful candidate will be employed on a Temporary Contract basis via Herts Resourcing Group. The rate of pay is £23.99 per hour, including holiday pay.

About You

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about supporting learners in developing their knowledge, practical skills and deliver functional skills programmes of teaching, learning, assessment and student support. You will support the successful attainment of apprentices, via the application of effective teaching and assessment practices, of timely outcomes for learners on Apprenticeship programmes within the identified subject area / specialism (Early Years Childcare).

You will be qualified to Level 3 in Early Years; you must have an assessor's award and experience with End Point Assessment would be highly desirable. You will possess GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above or a Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy.

You will have occupational industry experience in Early Years and have knowledge of current working practices, legislation, occupational competency structures and/or requirements.

You will have high ethical and professional standards, good interpersonal skills, good organisational / administrative skills, be willing to work flexibly to support learners in the workplace - occasionally work irregular or unsocial hours, be professional and reliable with good time management skills and you will own a car and have a full clean driving licence and car available for business use.
