We're currently recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking children's residential care provider launching a brand-new 3-bed EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) home. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to take the lead from day one and be part of a high-quality service built with care, structure, and strong values at its core.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day running of the home. This includes overseeing the Ofsted registration process, recruiting and managing staff, and ensuring the delivery of safe, consistent, and child-centred care.

You'll be supported by a senior leadership team that values autonomy, high standards, and a trauma-informed approach to care. The successful candidate will play a vital role in shaping the home's culture, practice, and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on the setup and registration of the home with Ofsted
  • Ensure full compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
  • Recruit, lead, and develop a stable and motivated team
  • Deliver high-quality care to children with EBD and complex needs
  • Promote a positive, therapeutic environment that supports emotional development
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with professionals, families, and agencies
  • Drive continuous improvement and ensure readiness for inspections

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy in a children's residential setting
  • Experience working with children and young people with EBD
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People's Services) or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
  • Resilient, reflective, and committed to best practice
