Talent- UK are delighted to be working with an Educational School based in the area of Dudley.

Our client is looking to recruit a responsible, hands-on Facilities Assistant to join their fantastic team.

Overview of position

As a Facilities Assistant, you will help support our children and young people in their daily lives, by ensuring our sites are well maintained and equipped to meet their needs.

Description of position

* This is a great opportunity to work as part of a team committed to helping children with varied and complex needs

* You will take pride in maintaining the school, from day-to-day repairs to completing risk assessments, carrying out security procedures, checking equipment and contributing to school development projects.

* Liaise with the site support services including, security, fire safety and control, access, waste management, cleaning, grounds and gardens and call out duties together with the Facilities Manager.

* To undertake various regular statutory checks including Asbestos visual check, fire alarm weekly and periodic tests, water checks etc.

* Utilise, understand and update computer based database software in order to ensure HSE and Building Records are maintained.

Experience required

* Previous experience in a similar setting would be great but isn't essential as full training will be given, and the right DIY skills, motivation, and personal qualities are just as important.

* You will be quality focused, efficient, able to work at pace, and motivated to help provide a safe, caring environment where every child can thrive.

Remuneration & Working Hours

* Up to £22,000 per annum

* 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

* Must hold Full UK Driving Licence
