Transport Planner

Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week.
Working Hours- 08:00am - 5:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch break), as this is a Live Transport Planning role overtime may be required to maintain service levels when necessary due to the nature of the job and industry.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a successful and well-established company in the Transport and Distribution sector.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
. Day to day Route Planning & Scheduling
. Ensure vehicle utilisation is efficient to maximise cost effectiveness
. Ensure scheduling is compliant with Vehicle & Tachograph legislation
. Liaise with Drivers and Account managers
. Scheduling vehicle maintenance work + rectifying any defects that arise.

The successful candidate will ideally have:
. A minimum of 1 years' route planning experience
. Excellent communication & administration skills
. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving business
. Experience using Transport management systems
. Knowledge of driver time directive regulations
. Good geographical knowledge
. Analytical and problem-solving skills
