Job Description

Contract Admin/Project Accountant

  • Non-Exempt Position
  • Construction background REQUIRED (Subcontractor, Home-builder or General Contractor experience.)
  • Position reports directly to Controller
  • Requires attention to detail, excellent verbal/written communication, strong data entry, comprehension of a contracts full cycle, full cycle accounts payable and receivable, insurance certificates.

 

As a Contract Admin/Project Accountant you will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

  • Create Job/Contract/Change Orders in system
  • Maintain project related records including insurance certificates, contracts and change orders
  • Review and process subcontractor/vendor invoices related to project and overhead
  • Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management
  • Create all project related billings to clients
  • Contact clients regarding unpaid billings
  • Respond to Subcontractors and Vendors in regards to payment details
  • Respond to Clients requests for additional detail
  • Compile and prepare Close-out packages
  • Data Entry
  • Answering phones
