This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated residential team focused on supporting older people living with dementia. The home is a genuinely warm and welcoming place, anchored in a wider community that deeply values dignity, respect, and love.

The service is currently undergoing a period of significant renewal and growth, backed by investment in new team members, enhanced training, and quality improvements. As a Senior Care Worker, you will be pivotal: setting the standard, guiding your team to deliver the highest level of person-centred care, and ensuring every resident is shown the compassion and respect they deserve.

We're currently recruiting:

  • Senior Care Workers (Day and Night Shifts) both part time and full time.

Pay rates range from:

Day shift - £13.03 - £13.18 per hour - £26K-£30K

Night shift - £148.67 - £167.70 per night - £30K-£34K

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a team of care staff, ensuring high-quality standards of care are delivered at all times.
  • Oversee daily care delivery, including medication management, care planning, and documentation.
  • Act as a key worker, contributing to and reviewing individual care plans in consultation with residents, families, and professionals.
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and on-the-job training to care staff.
  • Assist in rota planning and staff allocation to ensure appropriate cover.
  • Participate in audits and contribute to service improvement plans.
  • Support with recruitment, induction, and staff development.
  • Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents and staff.
  • Promote wellbeing and dignity, fostering a culture of kindness and professionalism.
  • Take responsibility for the home in the absence of the Service Manager or Deputy.

To be considered for the role, ideally you will have:

  • Relevant SVQ Level 3 in Social Care (essential) and a willingness to work towards SVQ Level 4 or PDA in Supervision/Medication.
  • Proven experience supporting older people, ideally those living with dementia.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop others.
  • Basic IT literacy for care planning and reporting.
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the SSSC.
  • A member (or willing to join) the PVG Scheme.
  • Respectful of a Christian-based ethos, supporting people of all faiths and none with compassion and understanding.
