Accounts Assistant, Farnham, to £30k + Hybrid Working
We are on the lookout for a proactive Accounts Assistant to join a dedicated, friendly and supportive finance team in Farnham. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Monthly Management Accounts process and oversee the Sales Ledger, ensuring all Balance Sheet Accounts are reconciled accurately.
Day to Day duties:
- Execute monthly journal entries for Payroll, Depreciation, Prepayments, and other necessary adjustments.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and associated Schedules.
- Support the creation of Management Accounts for the Finance Manager’s review.
- Conduct thorough Balance Sheet Reconciliations each month.
- Aid in producing the monthly Profit and Loss Schedules.
- Manage the Sales Ledger, including issuing sales invoices and coordinating with stakeholders both within and outside the organisation.
- Support the inter-company transaction process.
- Contribute to the finalisation of Year End accounts.
- Organise P11d and PSA submissions.
- Step in to provide Accounts Payable support when necessary.
- Tackle any additional finance admin tasks as requested by the Finance Manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Solid experience in a comparable accounts role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management capabilities.
- Knowledge of Xero would be beneficial.
- This role could suit someone studying for an AAT qualification or equivalent.
