Job Title: Transport Operator

Location: Bury St Edmunds

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 p/a

Our client is based on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds and are seeking an experienced transport operator to join their team.
You will be assisting in running day to day operations associated with container transport, LCL transport and general warehousing

Duties

* Ensuring deliveries/collections are completed on daily basis

* Inputting bookings

* Dealing with incoming calls/emails quickly and efficiently

* Managing sub-contractors

* Ensuring accurate maintenance of specific operational software

* Customer account management

Skills

* Strong UK geographical knowledge

* Min 3 years previous experience as a transport operator

* Excellent communication skills

* Ability to prioritise and organise

* Excellent knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel & Outlook

* Driven and motivated to succeed
