My client is a thriving Top 100 firm and leading provider of legal services to a high calibre client base, combining the stability of a long-established firm with a modern approach to the law which has led to significant growth. Despite the challenging climate the firm continues to make key lateral hires and it is now seeking to bring on board an experienced employment partner to drive this area of the practice forward in Birmingham.
You will be an experienced specialist within the employment law market with a proven track record of delivering results for respondent clients, and an ability to grow and develop that practice area further. You will likely be at partner or designate level already with a broad range of contentious and non-contentious experience including advising on restructuring, TUPE, discrimination claims, redundancies, wrongful dismissal claims and also providing support to other transactional teams on large scale deals; experience of corporate immigration may be beneficial but not essential.
What is essential though is drive, ambition, a self-starting attitude and also the ability to see the bigger picture. The firm has taken huge strides forward by getting the culture right and recruiting talented lawyers who put their clients and the priorities of the firm first, which has meant that the firm has both won and retained high quality clients who welcome the levels of care they receive. The firm's model also means that fee targets are a thing of the past, with everything being based on delivering the right results for those clients.
The firm also offers remuneration packages which are competitive with the very best in Birmingham, and although a following would be expected the levels of following are not at the sorts of levels many of the firm's competitors expect for partner roles.
