About the Role:
A leading utility and infrastructure services provider is seeking a Quality Engineer to support its construction and electrical infrastructure projects across the Heathrow and Central London area. This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Quality and Assurance Manager within the Governance, Risk, Compliance & Quality function.
We're particularly interested in candidates with strong experience in Quality Assurance within a UK construction environment and working knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide guidance on ISO 9001:2015 quality standards during tendering and project execution phases.
* Support the development and implementation of company and project-specific procedures.
* Monitor compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and internal processes.
* Plan and conduct internal audits, compile reports, and ensure findings are addressed.
* Assist project teams with quality-related reviews, inductions, training, and reporting.
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded.
* Perform inspections, ensure certification compliance, and maintain project quality records.
* Lead preparation for third-party audits and promote quality standards across the business.
Role Context:
This role sits within the quality and assurance function of a national energy infrastructure organisation supporting clients across transport, defence, manufacturing, and industrial sectors. The position will involve working both from corporate offices and project sites, with some travel required. You'll also be engaging with internal leadership and external stakeholders.

Requirements:
Essential:
* HNC (or higher) in Quality, Construction, Project Management, or related engineering discipline
* Practitioner member of the Chartered Quality Institute, or working towards Chartered status
* Hands-on experience in quality management systems within the construction sector
* Understanding of CDM 2015 regulations
* Qualified internal auditor (QMS) with experience auditing to ISO 9001:2015
* Strong root cause analysis skills
* Ability to obtain site access clearance for regulated industries (eg, transport, defence, nuclear)
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
* Audit experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
* Knowledge of asset management, collaboration, and digital construction standards (eg, ISO 55001, 44001, 19650 series)
* Confident communicator with solid planning, decision-making, and presentation skills
* Proficiency in MS Office and other standard IT tools
* Collaborative mindset and ability to adapt priorities as needed
