Senior Shift Manager
Salary: Up to £63,600 per annum
Location: Washington

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Shift Manager to join a high-volume, precision manufacturing organisation.

The Role:
You'll lead and manage a shift within the Press Shop, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. The role carries full accountability for achieving key operational KPIs, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a proactive, performance-driven culture across your team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead day-to-day press shop operations to achieve targets across quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale.

* Manage and develop supervisors and operators through coaching, mentoring, and structured performance reviews.

* Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence using QCDMS principles.

* Ensure effective shift planning, manpower management, and compliance with safety and HR processes.

* Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver departmental and strategic objectives.

About You:

* Qualified to Level 5 (or equivalent) in Operations Management or a related field.

* Proven experience in a supervisory or frontline management role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

* Strong understanding of QCDMS, continuous improvement tools, and KPI management.

* Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

* Confident in managing people, processes, and performance to deliver results.
