A secondary school with sixth form located in the Trafford area is looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) starting with them in January (potential to start sooner after the October half term).
The school is ideally looking to take on a Learning Support Assistant who has previous experience in supporting within a secondary school setting or similar. The successful Learning Support Assistant will be supporting students in years 9 - 11 with potential to support year 12 and 13. The successful Learning Support Assistant (LSA) will be providing intervention in the core subjects of Maths and Science at a lower level and supporting students in the upper school with access arrangement and general classroom support as required. The school is therefore looking for a Learning Support Assistant who is confident in these areas and is confident and adaptable in their approach.
Key aspects of the LSA role:
- Full time Learning Support Assistant required: former experience within a school environment ideal
- Pay range dependent upon experience and qualification: up to £1350 per month
- Provide support and intervention to year 9 - 13s in the main with opportunity to support a variety of students as required
- Highly academic school with a large cohort of students identified as excelling students and gifted and talented
- LSA required for the remainder of the academic year; opportunity to progress onto a school based contract
The school have advised that they are looking for a Learning Support Assistant on a full time basis who is available 5 days per week starting in January (potential to start in December).
Ideally starting in December/January, any Learning Mentors, Learning Support Assistants or Teaching Assistants are highly encouraged to apply now for immediate consideration. Given the varying nature of this position, there will be opportunity to support higher ability students in years 9, 10 and 11 and lower ability students in the sixth form.
