Job Title: Transport Planner

Location: Trafford Park

Salary: £29,000 - £32,000 per annum (plus overtime opportunities)

Job Type: Full-time

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm

Holiday Cover Shifts (up to 9 weeks/year):

AM Shift: 5:30am - 2:00pm

PM Shift: 12:30pm - 9:00pm

Occasional Saturday Mornings: Paid as overtime

At their Trafford Park site, we are now looking for a hands-on, motivated Transport Planner to join our dedicated team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Plan and manage Irish export trailers (Dublin & Belfast).
• Schedule and coordinate multi-drop collections and deliveries (C&D) for pallet network customers.
• Ensure on-time deliveries and all scheduled customer collections are achieved.
• Reactively adjust plans based on network/customer needs.
• Maintain regular communication with drivers and internal teams.
• Monitor live operations and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Ensure efficient use of vehicles and drivers while maintaining high service standards.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in a Transport Planner role
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to stay calm and solve problems under pressure.
• Confident communicator who can manage and support drivers effectively.
• Flexible attitude toward shift patterns and occasional weekend work.
• Good IT literacy - training will be provided for in-house systems.
