Learning Support Assistant - Full Time

Are you an experienced professional who is passionate about helping children succeed? We are looking for a committed Learning Support Assistant to join our specialist educational setting in Bournemouth.

This full-time role is ideal for someone who is confident, resilient, and motivated to support pupils with additional needs in a nurturing, structured environment.

What the role involves:

Providing one-to-one and small-group support to children between the ages of 4-11 with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)

Assisting teachers with learning activities and tailored interventions

Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and emotional regulation

Contributing to behaviour support strategies and positive routines

Working collaboratively with a skilled, supportive team

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN or behavioural needs, those with a background in youth work or sports coaching will also be considered

Communicates clearly and builds positive relationships

Can remain calm under pressure and use a proactive, solution-focused approach

Is reliable, patient, and dedicated to helping every pupil achieve their potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
