To supervise and manage day-to-day on-site activities on gas infrastructure projects, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with SCO 1 & 2 requirements, industry standards, and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the on-site representative for SCO 1 (Permit to Work) and SCO 2 (Non-Routine Operations) responsibilities.

*

Ensure all works are planned and executed in accordance with the relevant safety documentation (PTW, RAMS, Method Statements).

*

Liaise with the Authorising Engineer and Responsible Person to ensure control of operations is maintained.

*

Oversee excavation, pipework, tie-ins, commissioning, and reinstatement works.

*

Supervise direct labour and subcontractors to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

*

Conduct and record site inductions, tool box talks, and safety briefings.

*

Monitor and enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

*

Ensure the correct implementation and closure of permits and control documents.

*

Maintain site records, daily diaries, and progress reports.

*

Report incidents, near misses, and any non-conformances.

*

Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver works on time and to specification.

Ideally we are looking for candidates with:

* Supervisory Experience

* SSSTS/SMSTS/ IOSH Managing Safety

* SCO 1&2

* SHEA Gas

* Previous experience at a Gas MWC
