Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience)

An established and talented engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to take on greater technical responsibility while working on a diverse portfolio of geotechnical and ground engineering projects.

You will play a key role in the delivery of ground investigation and geotechnical design projects across a range of sectors including residential, commercial, infrastructure, and industrial developments.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing and delivering geotechnical site investigations

Producing and reviewing geotechnical interpretative reports (GIR) and factual reports

Geotechnical analysis and design including foundations, earthworks and slope stability

Supervising and mentoring junior engineers and site staff

Liaising with clients, contractors and project teams

Assisting with project management including budgets and programme delivery

Requirements:

Degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline

Typically 5+ years' experience within a geotechnical consultancy or ground engineering environment

Strong experience in geotechnical reporting and design

Experience managing ground investigations and supervising site works

Working towards or already achieved Chartered status (ICE or Geological Society) would be beneficial

Full UK driving licence
