Property Paralegal - Newport
Salary: £18,000
The Role
We are looking for a paralegal to join our real estate team. The successful candidate will work as a support team member assisting fee earners on development and transactional real estate work. Excellent training will be given and no prior experience is necessary, although knowledge of land law / conveyancing processes is preferred.
If desired candidates who have passed the LPC could (subject to satisfactory performance) progress to a training contract after a 12-18-month period. Candidates who have not passed the LPC but who wish to study to further their careers will be supported and encouraged in this as part of their personal development plan, whether that leads to CILEX or to the SQE.
* You will be working as a paralegal in a leading regional or Legal 200 practice or else will be an LPC student / paralegal looking for a training contract. Your CV will show that you have a strong work ethic.
* As an individual you will enjoy working on high quality work and as part of a team. You will be looking for a firm where you can continue to do this within an atmosphere that is friendly and nurturing but also focused. You will want to find a decent work life balance and will want your employer to support you in this, as well as being proactive in helping your career to develop.
* We are a leading regional law firm based at Coldra, South Wales.
* We practice in Real Estate, Corporate, Commercial, IT / Data, Dispute Resolution, Agricultural and Private Client law to a client base that is predominantly high net worth / commercial.
* We are a forward thinking, innovative practice. We believe, fundamentally, that a good business places its culture and the welfare of its people at its core and this is our motivating and guiding ethos. As such we manage the practice laterally, rather than hierarchically and as a pure meritocracy.
* We are recognised by The Legal 500 in all our major practice areas. In 2019 we were shortlisted for a Law Society Award for excellence in practice management and in 2020 we were shortlisted by The Welsh Legal Awards as one of the three leading law firms in Wales
