We are looking to appoint an outstanding, self-motivated and committed Class Teacher to work within a specialist school within the Wandsworth area.

This is an amazing opportunity for a suitable candidate to develop their career by joining a talented, hardworking, and friendly team involved in developing first class provision for pupils aged between 3-19 with a primary need of Autism.

You will be supported by a wider team of professionals to ensure our pupils thrive, have fun and maximise their potential.

To help their pupils to become more aware of their potential barriers to learning and help them to overcome these.

To further encourage their pupils to become more self-regulating in their behaviours through a process of nurture and reflection techniques.
To make learning a two-way process and encourage more responsibility in the childrens learning.
To give their pupils the opportunity to enjoy learning again through creativity and fun.What we are looking for:

An experienced and energetic practitioner with the knowledge, skills and understanding of a range of teaching, learning, assessment, and positive behaviour management strategies to make a positive impact on the progress of pupils with complex needs.
Highly motivated, innovative person with enthusiasm and commitment.Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised overseas teaching certificate

* Experience working with students with SEND within a mainstream or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) setting is desirable, however ECTs are welcomed to apply.

* Flexible and hard-working nature

* Excellent communication skills

* Existing DBS check on the update service

* Experience of augmentative and alternative communication (PECS, Makaton, Intensive Interaction, Rapid Prompting Method) are beneficial, but not essential.
