Process Technologist
The Role

As a Process Technologist, you'll be instrumental in bringing innovative products to life - taking them from kitchen concept to full-scale factory production. You'll ensure every product meets the highest standards of quality, safety and customer expectation, while driving efficiency across our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Scale-Up & Factory Trials

  • Partner with NPD to translate recipes into scalable manufacturing processes.

  • Plan, coordinate and lead factory trials, refining processes to deliver consistent quality and optimal performance.

Process Optimisation

  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve line efficiency.

  • Support Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean initiatives through data-driven analysis and practical solutions.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure products consistently meet food safety, legal and retailer standards.

  • Work closely with QA and Technical teams to maintain audit readiness and compliance excellence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with NPD, Engineering, Supply Chain and Operations to deliver successful product launches.

  • Act as a key link between development and production teams.

Documentation & Process Control

  • Maintain accurate process specifications, SOPs and trial documentation.

  • Support consistent batch production and ensure audit documentation is up to date.

Problem Solving

  • Investigate production challenges and implement effective, data-led solutions.

  • Take a proactive approach to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Health & Safety

  • Champion safe working practices and contribute to site-wide H&S initiatives.

About You
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment (Technical, Production or Development), or a relevant graduate background.

  • Good understanding of QA principles and food safety (Level 2+ preferred).

  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills.

  • Confident communicator who works effectively across teams.

  • Analytical problem-solver comfortable working with data and CI tools.

  • Health & Safety aware and proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Experience in roasting or frying processes would be advantageous.
