MATHS AND ENGLISH TUTOR - ONE TO ONE TUITION
Location: Wigan
Hours: 25 hours per week
Rate: From £25 to £30 per hour
Start Date: ASAP

Prospero Teaching is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Maths and English Tutor to support a year 9 student in the Wigan area. You will provide high‑quality one‑to‑one or small group tuition, helping learners build confidence, strengthen their skills, and achieve their academic goals.

About the Role

Provide engaging one-to-one tuition in Maths and English
Support a year 9 student in building confidence and improving academic skills
Tailor lessons to suit individual learning needs and styles
Track student progress and deliver constructive feedback to students and parents

Experience, Training and Qualifications

QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
Minimum 6 months experience working in a UK school
Up-to-date Safeguarding training within the last year (desirable, not essential)

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible to work through Prospero Teaching, you must:

Hold the Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
Provide two professional, child-related references covering the last two years
