What You’ll Bring

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent).
  • Experience working in a nursery or early years setting, with supervisory or room leader responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and child development.
  • Confident leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to inspire a small team.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and a genuine passion for early years education.

Your Key Responsibilities as Nursery Room Leader

  • Lead and manage the daily running of your room, ensuring a high standard of care and education.
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Supervise, coach, and support your room team to create an inspiring, safe, and nurturing environment.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents, keeping them informed about their child’s progress and wellbeing.
  • Monitor children’s development and maintain accurate, up-to-date observations and records.
  • Ensure full compliance with safeguarding policies, health & safety procedures, and nursery standards.
