Teaching Personnel are seeking a caring, dedicated and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 5 with additional learning and behavioural needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to a pupil who needs consistency, encouragement and tailored support to thrive.

About the Role

You will be working on a 1:1 basis with a child who requires additional help to access the curriculum, regulate emotions and build confidence in the classroom. Your role will include:

Providing tailored academic support in literacy, numeracy and classroom tasks
Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Building a trusting relationship that supports engagement and independence
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support plans
Encouraging social skills and positive interactions with peers

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience supporting children with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language needs)
A patient, nurturing and resilient approach
Strong communication skills and the ability to follow guidance from teaching staff
The flexibility to adapt support strategies to meet the child's changing needs
A passion for helping children reach their full potential
