Our client, a specialist design and construction provider working at the forefront of the data, defence, and energy sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Design Coordinator to join the Slough-based team and support the delivery of technically complex, high-value infrastructure projects.

🏗️ About the Role

As a Design Coordinator, you will support all the design delivery from bid stage right through to completion of a project. This role is ideal for a technically minded professional who thrives in a fast-paced, design & build environment.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

Ensure the design adheres to cost constraints or improves upon them

*

Coordinate and manage design input across all project stages

*

Work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve design issues

*

Oversee drawing registers, technical submissions, and the timely release of design packages

*

Ensure the design is delivered in time to enable the procurement of robust tenders

*

Attend design meetings, track actions, and ensure alignment across all disciplines

✅ What We're Looking For

*

Proven experience in design coordination within the construction or engineering sector

*

Oversee the thorough investigation of value engineering and value creation opportunities

*

Strong understanding of multi-disciplinary design and design management processes

*

Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and using coordination tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks)

*

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

*

Desirable: Membership of a recognised professional body such as CIOB, RIBA, or ICE

Based in Slough, with occasional travel to sites and project meetings

*

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000, depending on experience
