ResponsibilitiesAs a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the planning, execution, and reporting of geotechnical site investigations.
- Conducting soil and rock sampling, logging, and testing in accordance with industry standards.
- Supporting the preparation of geotechnical designs, calculations, and reports.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during all project activities.
- Staying up-to-date with advancements in geotechnical engineering practices and technologies.
QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you should possess the following:
- A degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.
- A strong academic background with a focus on geotechnical principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- A willingness to learn and develop within the role.
- A valid UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
Day-to-DayYour daily activities will involve:
- Conducting fieldwork, including site visits and investigations.
- Analysing geotechnical data and preparing technical reports.
- Assisting senior engineers with design calculations and project planning.
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders as required.
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to project discussions.
