About the Role We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Senior Service Desk Engineer to join our growing Managed Service Provider team based in the Reigate area. This is a hybrid role, with three days per week required on-site, supporting a diverse range of clients and helping to drive high-quality service delivery across the business.
You'll act as an escalation point for the 1st/2nd line teams, resolve complex technical issues, and contribute to continuous service improvement. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with a wide range of technologies.
Key Responsibilities - Provide high-level technical support across Windows, Microsoft 365, networking, and cloud environments
- Act as an escalation point for junior service desk engineers
- Manage and resolve complex incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs
- Support client onboarding, migrations, and project delivery tasks
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot client infrastructure (remote and on-site)
- Ensure accurate documentation of systems, processes, and incident resolutions
- Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring professional and proactive service
- Propose and implement service improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability
Desirable Experience We are particularly interested in candidates with previous experience in:
- Managed Service Provider (MSP) environments, or in the Education sector, or a combination of both
This background will help you excel in handling varied client needs and complex multi-site technical environments.
Technical Skills (Desired) - Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID
- Windows Server administration (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO)
- Networking fundamentals (VLANs, firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi)
- Virtualisation technologies (Hyper-V, VMware)
- Backup technologies and monitoring tools
- Ticketing systems and ITIL best practices

- Full UK driving licence desirable (for occasional site visits)
